Since so many people (including yours truly) have become addicted to this warm-hearted and courageous character, why not dive into some of the wisdom from the Book of Eddie Munson and see how you can apply it to your business? 🎸🤘🏻 Are you ready to dive in? It shouldn’t feel like you’re “running up that hill” just to make a post or promote yourself. So, if you really want it to be “your year,” here are a few things you can do!
Break Out of the “Cliques”
It’s time to ditch the cookie-cutter prompts and start posting from the heart on your Social Media. It can feel scary at first to post authentically. That’s understandable. If you’ve spent so long trying to fit in with the “jocks,” but your passion lies with the “drama club,” you’re probably going to get some resistance at first.
It may feel the same way when you start making the shift to content that bares your soul and highlights your unique perspectives and views! But just like anything… the more you practice, the easier it gets. You don’t have to fit inside one box. Like Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington, you’re allowed to have layers and incredible character development.
Pave Your Own Way
As we build our businesses, we can feel the push to “conform” to certain rules or even trends to be “successful” and stand out among the crowd. Trust me, I’ve seen plenty of people say they hate doing TikTok dances – but still do them because it gets them views. Or say they only send Cold DM’s to promote their business because someone else told them they HAD TO or else they wouldn’t find clients.
Guess what? You don’t have to do ANYTHING that doesn’t feel right to you.
Isn’t that the reason you started your business? To do things in a way that feels good and exciting to YOU?
Start finding business methods that work for YOU, not just for your friend’s, brother’s, coach’s mentor. There is no “one right way” to grow your business. If a method or strategy doesn’t feel right to you or doesn’t align with your values, you don’t have to use it!
We’re “The Freaks” – And That’s Okay!
You’re not made for everyone – and that’s actually a good thing. For every person who thinks you’re one of the “freaks for playing a fantasy game” or sharing your love of plants or pottery or Marvel… there will be one who absolutely loves you because of it. Don’t be afraid to be a little weird or share those things that make YOU light up. Because, in the end, that’s what will help you find the clients – and friends – that are meant to be in your circle. ❤️
